There’s a squat near where I live that is now full of people, because they kicked everyone out, then didn’t do anything with the space.  There are people still living there—squatting in their own homes—and new people who have moved in.  They do a lot of arts-related things, which is really neat, I think.  Along with community gardens, of course.
